The marble floor is even more gorgeous than I imagined.
I know it isn’t traditional, but I love the look.
I wanted to mimic the height of the wooden baseboards we have throughout the house in the bathroom. I selected a tile chair rail molding and liner to make the “baseboard”. I can’t wait to see everything grouted.
Yay! Looking good!
And Jack obviously loves it, too.
Oh kitty, that marble must feel so much better than the wet cement!!
Fabulous tiling work.
Hi there,
Looks beautiful! Can I ask where you bought the pieces that make up the baseboard? What is a tile liner? Did you cut and miter the corners together on site? Thank you!
Hi! All the tile came from DalTile. I haven’t checked lately, but I think DalTile can even be ordered from Home Depot, although we purchased ours directly through the DalTile store. A liner is just a really thin piece of tile and when it is in a wall it looks like a line that goes around the room. In our room, there is a chair rail piece of tile, then the liner and the subway tile.
Hi Heather,
I love the chair rail and liner combination, but I’m having the most difficult time figuring out which ones they are – I don’t have a Daltile showroom here in Vancouver, Canada, and their catalogue doesn’t provide the profiles. So I thought maybe I could ask you – do you happen to know the names the chair rail and liner go by? I’m thinking the liner is the ‘summit’, but who knows, and the chair rail isn’t jumping out of the 678 page catalogue!
Thanks,
Tyler
Thanks! I’m terribly sorry, but I don’t recall the names of the chair rail or liner. I wonder if Dal-Tile would give you a few sample tiles if you contacted them and let them know the type of pieces you are interested in?
Hi Heather,
Thanks for the reply! I sent a link to the site off to Daltile and they’re sending me samples. I really appreciate your help and all the good work you’ve done.
Tyler
Tyler – were you able to figure out which DalTile pieces were used?
