I woke up happy today. Things might not always go my way but I am always grateful for my husband, family, friends and our little Los Angeles bungalow.
I wish you a heartfelt Happy Valentine’s Day.

Our house is finally decked out for the holidays. After a slow start this year, we finished with the holiday decorations yesterday. Just in the nick of time!
Don’t forget to vote for your favorite house in our Make The Season Bright Contest. There is still time to enter your house! Winners announced December 24th.
It seems like we are running late with everything this Christmas season. I mailed out our Christams cards on the 22nd and I just finished wrapping my last present at 9:45 pm on Christmas Eve. Here are a few pictures of our house decorated for the holidays.
We wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season!
We are going to be staying in Los Angeles for Christmas this year. I will miss the snow and our families but am looking forward to spending our first Christmas in the house.
All decked out for the holidays!
I LOVE the smell of a live tree. It freshens up the whole house.
The fireplace all dressed up.
The dogs have their own stocking but they have to share.
Wishing you a Happy Easter from 1912 Bungalow.
It has been a big week at our house. Simon slept through the night and didn’t make any noise to go outside until 8:30 a.m. (FINALLY!) instead of his usual 6 a.m.
We left him out with us instead of keeping him in the bathroom with a baby gate and no accidents or destroyed property. The only bad thing is that Lulu doesn’t like Simon to sleep by her so she keeps sneaking into bed with us after we are asleep.
This morning I woke up to a beautiful Valentine’s Day surprise from my wonderful husband!

Last night after I fell asleep, David retrieved flowers that he had hidden in our car. Using a flashlight since he didn’t want to wake me by turning on a light, he staged the flowers so that they would be the first thing I would see when I sat up in bed.
It was a wonderful way to start the day.
A couple days ago I picked up a “Living Christmas Tree” at Osh to surprise Heather. Heather didn’t think we were going to get one since our downstairs is being renovated and we are leaving at the end of this week to spend Christmas with my family, so it was a nice surprise.
Initially I had placed the tree in our bedroom but it wasn’t getting enough light so we moved it into our new office (the second bedroom). Today we listened to Christmas music while we decorated the tree. (well, Heather did most of the decorating and I helped a little because I’m sick).
