Always A Bridesmaid...
Never a bride! Our house was scouted again for filming. This time for a Lifetime channel movie. The location scout took lots of pictures. He even shot photos of our kitchen, backyard and upstairs bedroom, although they haven't been restored and are in disarray.

We haven't heard anything. I'm sure our house didn't get picked. Again.
They told us that the compensation would be around $1000 per day. I have heard that is towards the low end of the pay scale. The pay is considerably higher if a theatrical release or major production is filmed in your home.

Well, I can see why the scouts keep being drawn to your house!
We had some interest from scouts for the remake of the Amityville Horror—and that was without them even seeing the inside. In the end, though, they were mostly interested in the driveway that belonged to our neighbors. Harumph.

Be careful what you wish for. Film crews can really tear a place up!! The pay needs to be REALLY good to make it worth it, IMHO.

I'm supporting Bill. Be careful. On a film set time is money, so if it's faster to bang a hole in your lovingly restored walls and woodwork than to figure out a less destructive way to hang a light, or whatever, then that's what they are going to do. (And do your want your kitchen to be forever seared into an audiences mind as the kitchen where so and so gets their head cut off and stuck in the freezer?)
