Hello...Anybody Home?

"Where have you been!"

Well, I've been going through some stuff, some personal stuff. That new great job that I was so excited about? It ended up being too good to be true. I was laid off a few weeks ago. It is sad because the company had a lot of potential.

"Well, now you have more time to work on your house."

Yeah, yeah. Ok, lets get to it. Remember the post oh, way back in March, when David said he was going to stop procrastinating and fix the tear in our screen door? Still waiting...

Meanwhile, the hole in the screen keeps getting bigger.

Because the cats have decided it makes a pretty good cat door.

It is hard to imagine a little 10 week old kitten being anything but adorable until that cute little kitten decides his main goal in life is getting out the front door at any and every opportunity. Our new kitten, Jack, has become an accomplished escape artist in the few weeks that we have owned him.

Jack doesn't know his name yet or else he doesn't realize that when I am running all over the house frantically calling his name, that he is supposed to interrupt his nap in a comfy hiding place to come see what I want. A cat that likes to escape and a cat that doesn't come when called is not a good combination.

So, when Pablo Reyes, the craftsman who did work for us last fall, stopped by yesterday and offered to replace the screen I said, "Yes! Please. Hallelujah."

Hey, what happened to that nifty hole I used to stick my head through? Why did you have to fix that?

ha :) those are some great pictures - at least the non-furry residents of the house will be enjoy having it fixed!
