		<description>Interesting observation. My grandmother&#039;s living room prominently featured a desk, as well as a sofa, arm chairs, and coffee table. It was decorated in a California 1920s style, a smaller and more ramshackle variation on the rooms in English estate houses. 

Her living room was exactly like the one here captioned &quot;Desk in the Center of the Room.&quot; The desk was to the left; the standard sofa grouping faced the fireplace.</description>
