Hi Jess. We use Moveable Type for our blog. You might also want to look into Blogger or WordPress. If I was starting my blog today, I would probably go with WordPress because it is easy to use, offers lots of plug-ins/features and there are many blog themes available to choose from.

I found out about my block club by asking my neighbors. It’s difficult to know sometimes and not every area has a block club. But, if nothing else, it gives you a reason to meet your new neighbors.

Hey, did you guys use Houseblogs to make your blog? or some other blogging software? What do you recommend?

And how in L.A. do you figure out where your block club is?

Unfortunately, the house will be taken down, I think. I’m sure the developers planned for this. The money will sway whoever takes over the property. Hers was a labor of love.

Good for her! I hope they do make her house site a park or greenspace, maybe with a plaque picturing her home & briefly telling her story.

Bittersweet, I’m sure. I wonder what her family will do with the house now? It would be a nice tribute for it to remain as a park/public area now…
