I’ll Take Ceiling Blobs For a $1000

I’d Like to Buy a New Bathroom, Please...

Restoration Diary

Quick! What is that strange blob?!

The peeling paint, the mold…why it could only be a water problem! It seems that my habit of filling the bath tub all the way to the rim with water is detrimental to our house’s health. We have a leak around the bathtub’s water overflow valve. The same bathtub that sits right above the kitchen ceiling.

We got a quote for almost $1000 to fix the overflow valve and other plumbing issues associated with the tub. I think I’ll just fill the tub halfway full of water instead.

I don’t want to put any money into fixing the bath tub or the kitchen ceiling because I intend to remove both when we restore these rooms…which, if I have my way, will be very soon!

Then there was the time i took a long hot bath and ignored the phone ringing. The knock at the front door was harder to ignore, it was rather persistant. It was raining through the ceiling in my downstairs neighbor’s bathroom, and they thought i was drowning! Oops! They were kind enough to let me in on this amazing gizmo:
