When are you going to submit your home restoration as a writeup in AB?

Those coat hooks are super cool in your before pics. Our house doesn’t have half the woodwork yours does, and I’m still taking forever to strip it. It was never shellacked, so I think that’s the problem.

My husband and i are in the process of a total gut and renovation of a circular home. The style is cottage /arts and crafts. It looks like a Chesapeake light house We have installed all fir trim and plan a red oak floor. We must tell the contractor this week what color to stain all the trim and clerstory beams. I have read your color selection for the livng room and plan to mix up a batch to try out. My husband fears that it might be too dark but we’ll give it a try.Since we don’t wat a stain too yellow.red or greenish. we can’t afford to make a mistake with so much trim. it makes all the difference in this open house. What color did you use for the wood floors in your house?

hi Perry. Your house sounds amazing! The floors in our house are red oak in the main rooms. In the private rooms (kitchen and upstairs) they are Douglas fir.
Best of luck with your project!
