Ps- Grape vines might be a good choice. Hardy enough to grow just about anywhere.

Well, I just found your site, and having just purchased a 1925 bungalow in Denver, Co., myself, which confronts me with many of the same issues you have faced, let me tell you that you guys, and your site, are an inspiration, and a relief — if someone else has done all this, then I can too!! Thanks for your documenting and posting all your trials, and triumphs, for the rest of us out here . . . .

Simon looks very happy in this swanky dog house. Can you do a jumbo version for Elvis – he’s almost 100 pounds now. I think the building material of choice for him would need to be a bit stronger than vines.

Corgis!!! Love the pictures We had a corgi for over 15 years, and he was a terrific dog. Your guys look very happy on their swing and in their doghouse – hope the vines ended up looking just fabulous.

Love the pictures of your happy porch pups.

Thanks again for telling us about Juan. He is doing a great job.
Our house exterior paint is almost done and the interior stripping is about half done. It is really great to see such progress on our house after our pitiful attempts to strip interior paint.

I think installing the swing was a must do in order to enjoy your hiatus! I’ll look forward to seeing how the dog house “grows”! We don’t have dogs, but maybe I could build something with catnip for the cats…

We have Lhaso Apsos and that is the coolest doghouse ever! Would you divulge your secret and let us know how you made it…or at least post a photo that shows it a little closer up. VERY COOL!

That’s the coolest idea for a doghouse I’ve EVER SEEN.
Quick tip: when installing screw-end hooks, insert a screwdriver through the hook to make a convenient handle for leverage.
