Hi Heather! We are soon going to be the "trashy People" on our block! So...don't feel so bad about it! We are getting ready to rip off the front porch and a wreck of a shed attached to the back of the house. The shed isn't coming off though until I get someone from the City out to the house to show me where my "garage" is. I sure can't find a "garage" anywhere on our property but we are paying taxes on it! I hope they don't consider that wreck of a lean-to attached to the back of the house...our garage. But...I think they do. We already have a pile of trash inside the lean-to/garage. The trash is all that holds the structure up!!! We have ripped out all the panelling and dropped ceilings from the 6o's, which is the majority of the trash! Oh well...such are the lives of BUNGALOW OWNERS! Soon...everyone will be driving past our house pointing and probably YELLING! The problem is...we live is a very small town (3,000) and everyone knows us and they know who the house belongs too. We get people coming up to us asking us about the house all the time. The most asked question is,"when are you guys moving in?" Our answer right now is,"a year or two". We are always asked why we are waiting so long and then we have to explain how we are RESTORING THE HOUSE TO IT'S ORIGINAL CONDITION. Then they ask us why on Earth we would want to do that! It goes on and on. We live in HICK HELL! Trust me...it is no picnic! Keep up the good work! Love the windows alot! Cheryll

In order to properly complete the ensemble, you need some car parts, an overstuffed plaid sofa and for a real touch of class, use the sink as a planter.... garden tips from my home state...

Seriously, We got rid of a house worth of lath by cutting it down to 1 foot lengths with a power miter saw and filling the trash can up religiously for about two months. The foot length stacked really nicely in the trash can.

Ooh! We were JUST that house and those people ourselves! We finally got all of our stuff moved into the dumptser and it BARELY met the legal fill limit. Man, I wish we had people trolling our neighborhood to ask if they can haul away our stuff.

Now, since we pulled off all the siding (that's what the debris was), the house looks like a gunfight occured against it. The neighbors whisper and point.
